A Sultry Friday Night ...Up on the Roof

On one of our trips to Istanbul we were in a Guest house that over looked a back packers hostel....
we could observe them playing guitar/hanging out /being a nomad community...many young people from all over the globe descending on the 'Gateway to the East-the gateway to the West'...it looked such fun...and I spent too long! wistfully watching them
Fast forward some years later...and here I am actually being a part of the experience - Tirana style ; yeah!!!!

 ....and the Brits!...Us....

Anticipation and preparation....

 Wedding preparation and Christmas anticipation is part of the fun- don't you agree and it was the same for me; I really enjoyed the build up (apart from writing out the menus)

Without her help this Salmon en Croute would not have looked spectacular!!!!!

 I had a great afternoon with a lovely lady, who came to help me, she was brilliant and a star, hence she had the happy task of decorating the Summer pudding....

We had a 'full tummy' evening .....x

 this lovely lady was sitting at the bottom of a little alleyway, shelling walnuts near the lakeside

 she has lived in this village all of her life and was generous enough to give to Jeff fruits of her toil

 any 'Foreigner' wandering around taking pictures is a novelty and we engaged in many conversations ...
